Teenagers must have experienced a couple of really terrible dates. Under such circumstances it becomes essential to handle the situation well in order to avoid hurting somebody’s feelings. Thus, teen magazine suggests some useful steps which teens could follow in order to end a date which has gone wrong so badly.

# If it becomes very obvious to you that you do not have any intentions of seeing that person again, it is important to make sure that you do not beat around the bush. Being nice to the other person just for the sake of it is not going to help either of you. Sometimes being nice just doesn’t work out well.

# One of the worst ways to escape the situation is to quickly and quietly make an exit through a toilet window. It is always advisable to diffuse the matter by calling the date to an end amicably.

# Firstly, you should thank that person for a nice date. Then explain gently that you don’t feel that there is any chemistry. You may prefer to do this by phone at a later stage. However if that person asks for a second chance please be firm on your decision.

# Men are not good at reading signals and mistake many gestures you make towards them. They can take rejection badly too. You will have to keep a cool head but make sure to make things very clear.
