When teenagers start dating someone then it’s so exciting, so much of fun to explore each other. There is never a dull moment as there is so much to discover about each other. During the first few months we tend to ignore the persons negative qualities. After 4-5 months we realize that the relationship is not as great as it was meant to be. We were indeed living in a world of dreams. We have to then analyze thoroughly whether we want to compromise and be in the relationship or call it quits.
If you feel that the relationship stress is taking its toll on you then it is time to end it. There is no point is continuing a relationship when you feel resentful and there is no purpose of commitment. When your basic needs be it emotional/ physical are not met then it can be very painful to continue with such a relationship. It is important to know that the relationship is not having a positive impact on your life when your desires are not fulfilled, your needs are not met.
Important Signs that it is time to end the relationship:
• Your relationship is the reason for your frustration, you become solemn, withdrawn. You have the feeling of emptiness inside you.
• You find reasons to stay apart from your partner. You are happier when you don’t spend time together.
• Because of this relationship you are totally cut off from your former close friends/relatives.
• You are being physically/ emotionally abused in your current relationship.
• You do not have any feeling for your partner, you are basically dwelling on the great past you two had together. Presently there are no signs of attraction/affection towards your partner.
• You have tried your best to change yourself just to keep your partner happy and satisfied but this is not working out either.
